If March was a person, she or he (or they) would be that person who’s so under-appreciated and overlooked until they do something out of the ordinary that inevitably makes people start paying attention to them.
March is a month that I never attach any significance to because nothing really extraordinary happens.
It wasn’t until this year that March caught my attention.
There was a dynamic shift that happened behind closed doors this month that made it stand out. I won’t go too much in depth, but my new monthly obsessions definitely added to that shift, so here they go:
Who Can Relate? with Justin Davis
I stumbled across this podcast sometime in February and I recently found myself looking forward to new episodes every week.
Host Justin Davis touches on a range of topics mainly consisting of personal development, relationships and dating.
One thing I love most about this show is that the conversations are so real and authentic.
Some of my favorite episodes include: “Female Grit” with Dr. Neeta Bhushan, “Me 1st” with Sarah Temima and “Rediscovering Me” with Gabi Lopez.
Singing Bowl
I’ve been wanting a singing bowl for the longest.
Singing bowls are used in many ancient traditions and they are believed to have healing and therapeutic qualities.
I finally purchased a small one I can travel with and I find so much joy playing it every night.
Everyone meet my new baby Honey
Next up is my new plant I named Honey. She’s beautiful isn’t she?
Crystal ring
If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with rings (the one area I’m not a minimalist in… don’t come for me).
As I was scrolling on Etsy one day, I stumbled across a shop by the name of Scenic Jewelry and they had beautiful crystal rings that I just had to purchase.
I ended up getting the jade crystal with a silver band and it’s one of my favorites in my collection.
Detroit 2 by Big Sean
My last obsession for this month is Big Sean’s recent album Detroit 2.
This album has been living rent free in my head all month and if you haven’t listened to it yet… um, what are you doing?
Some of my favorites from the album are Deep Reverence, ZTFO and Lucky Me.
Here’s to another glorious month of 2021. Goodbye March and hello April!
