I don’t know if it’s just me, but I need an extension for the month of December because this month went by a little too fast.
With the end of every month comes a list of new monthly obsessions I have to share, and even though the extension may not be possible, we can definitely carry over the joy and energy from the holidays into the new year. So without further ado, here’s my monthly obsessions for December:
On Purpose Podcast with Jay Shetty
I always see clips and quotes from Jay Shetty (the host of this podcast) but I never really listened to a full episode of his podcast “On Purpose” until this month. I’m so glad I discovered his podcast because my podcast library needed a fresh voice.
Hash Bowl
I believe I discovered this hash bowl recipe on Pinterest and jazzed it up as I continued to make it. It is by far one of my favorite things to make now. All that’s in it is a chopped baked potato, cooked tofu, spinach, tomato, red bell pepper and onions topped with a drizzle of maple agave syrup.
Photography
Back in 2015, I got my first Rebel Canon camera because I told my parents I wanted to get into photography.
I had a pretty long run where I actually practiced and was obsessed with learning the craft, but then I started to get into making youtube videos instead and I sort of lost that hobby.
It wasn’t until these past few weeks that I picked back up my camera and started snapping photos again, and I’m so happy I’m getting back into something I was passionate.
New Tattoo
I wouldn’t say that I’m addicted to tattoos just yet, but I do enjoy the look of them and the meaningful reminders they serve.
I got this beautiful new tattoo of three little butterflies inspired by a collection of experiences in my life. I won’t go too in depth with the meaning, but it definitely serves as a reminder to be a free spirit in a world where people tell you not to be.
RISE by Willow Smith & Jahnavi Harrison
I didn’t know I needed an EP like this until Willow Smith and Jahnavi Harrison dropped it. It’s a beautiful blend of modern and meditative music and I can’t get enough of it. I listen to it just about every morning after my yoga session.
Well, that seems to be all for my monthly obsessions for December… goodbye 2020 and hello 2021!
