Being vegan nowadays is easier than any other generation before. Any animal based product you can think of probably already has a vegan approved substitute and can easily be found on the shelves of your local supermarket or Walmart. After four years of trial and error, I finally have a list of my go-to vegan substitutes you should try today!
Boca Chik’n Veggie Nuggets
Boca always comes through with the tastiest veggie nuggets. I can honestly say that these nuggets are actually better than any fast food chicken nuggets I’ve eaten prior to going vegan (I know it’s a bit bias, but I’m being honest).
Dr. Praeger’s Veggie Burger
I never knew what heaven tastes like until I discovered this veggie patty. Dr. Praeger has a variety of veggie patties to choose from, but my personal favorite is the Super Greens veggie patty. If you’re not convinced to go veg yet, then this burger will turn you for sure.
Gardein Fishless Filets
Who knew the vegan world had substitutes for SEAFOOD?! This product always finds its way into my shopping cart. If you’re a seafood lover, try this plant based substitute; it could become your next go-to.
Daiya Cheese
Who ever invented vegan cheese needs to be president. There’s so many delicious meals and snacks (grilled cheese anyone?) that can be made with Daiya’s wide variety of vegan cheeses. I’ve personally had vegan casseroles, pizza, dip, and more made with this product. (Daiya Cheese inventor for president 2030).
Ben and Jerry’s Non-dairy Ice Cream
I can’t forget about desserts! Ben and Jerry’s is a brand that sells regular dairy injected ice cream, but they do have a small selection of non-dairy ice cream I’ve come to love. My personal favorite is the P.B. & Cookies flavor and instead of cow’s milk they use almond milk!
That concludes my top 5 vegan substitutes that I enjoy. So what are your favorite brands? I would love to hear from you in the comment section!
