One reason why I love doing “Monthly Obsessions” is it allows me to look back and appreciate the little things in life that bring me joy.
It’s currently “finals season” for me at San Diego State University and the stress level is high, but as I reflect on this past November, I am reminded of how blessed I am.
With that being said, here’s November’s monthly obsessions:
Brida by Paulo Coelho
If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you know I have a deep love for Paulo Coelho and his books.
My obsession started with his book The Alchemist and ever since, I either reread a book of his or purchase another one just about every month. His books never fail to uplift my spirits if they’re low, inspire me if I stray from my path, and remind me of my manifesting power if I forget.
I believe that information finds you when you need it and when you’re ready to receive it and Brida is just what I needed this month.
30 by Adele
As I’m writing this blog post, I’m blasting Adele’s latest album in my headphones (currently playing “Woman Like Me”).
I’ll go ahead and be bold by saying this is by far my favorite album by Adele. I’ve been a fan of hers since I was 13 years old, and I stick to the belief that Adele can do no wrong when it comes to music; but, 30 has been on repeat for me ever since it came out on November 19.
My personal favorite songs from the album: “Strangers by Nature,” “My Little Love,” “Hold On,” “Cry Your Heart Out,” “I Drink Wine,” “Woman Like Me,” and last but not least “Easy On Me.”
Survivor season 37
I started watching Survivor in May of this year, and I’ve been a fan ever since.
I took a break from watching the show in August so I could focus on school. However, I couldn’t go any longer without hitting the play button when I saw season 37 being added to Netflix.
p.s. for any survivor fans out there, I was rooting for Davie.
Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte at Starbucks
Let me explain.
Did I write a review about this new vegan-friendly latte totally bashing it? Yes, yes I did. And I stand by my initial claim that it does not get me into the holiday spirit, but I never said it didn’t taste good.
Breakfast in bed
Last but not least is breakfast in bed.
I used to be the “get up, get ready, get out the door” type of girl, but I’ve been enjoying taking the time to watch Sister,Sister while eating my breakfast in the morning. I don’t know… it gives me nostalgia and the boost I need to actually attend my classes for the day.
That is all for my monthly obsessions for November. Let me know in the comment section what some of your obsessions were for this month!
