Whew! I don’t know about you but July has gone by a little too fast. I can probably credit that to all the fun things that brought me joy this month because you know what they say, time flies when you’re having fun.
It’s really the little things that bring joy into my days and I want to share some of those obsessions I had this month with you.
Hippy Hearts Naturals face mask
My first monthly obsession was this new vegan face mask I purchased from a shop called Hippy Hearts Natural on Etsy. It’s said to help with dark circles and clear skin. It’s only been a few weeks, but I did notice it’s impact on the acne I was starting to get from wearing masks when going out.
Not only does it help with acne, but the ingredients are natural and it smells like heaven every time I open the jar. The ingredients include organic grapeseed oil, organic turmeric, bentonite clay, organic lemon essential oil , chamomile essential oil, alkaline water, organic witch hazel, organic oats, and leucidal.
Reggae music
I am a natural music junkie and get overly excited when I discover new music. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been really into reggae artists. Some of my favorites include Koffee and Skip Marley.
Yoga
I have been a self-proclaimed yogi for three years now, but my love for yoga has grown this month. I feel that the practice of connecting with yourself through yoga is much needed during this time of uncertainty.
I’ve also been trying out new yoga channels in order to keep the practices exciting. One of my new favorites include Arianna Elizabeth.
90s Sitcoms
I don’t know what exactly brought up my nostalgia for 90s sitcoms, but I’m not mad at it. I’ve been enjoying Family Matters and Living Single for the past few weeks. You can stream both of these shows on Hulu if you’re interested.
My new “hippie” pants
I’m someone who values comfortability in clothing over anything else. I want to look cute, but also be comfortable throughout my day. That being said, I finally received a pair of what I like to call my hippie pants (thanks dad!).
They’re literally pajama pants, but cuter and more fashionable. I don’t wear them as much as I would like to just yet because of the 90 degree weather in Mississippi, but you are definitely going to catch these pants throughout the Fall.
Mehret Biruk
This was a lovely read, and great ideas to enjoy the little things in life.
I’ve been on Afrobeat kick lately and it adds so much joy to my days. I’m def going to try the mask, I’m in need of a mask to complete my skin care regimen.
Also, you’re so pretty!
