It’s time to say goodbye to our friend August.
August was an especially busy month for me, but I made sure to take note of the things that brought me joy.
Before we welcome in September, I want to share my monthly obsessions for the month of August with you!
French press
I’ve always admired people who had french presses. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it’s more sustainable in a sense that you’re not constantly using K-cups and unnecessary electricity for a Keurig every morning.
I’m still experimenting with ratios and measurements, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. I look forward to making a freshly pressed coffee every morning now.
Guava Goddess kombucha
A few weeks ago I discovered a new flavor of Synergy kombucha — Guava. When I tell you I got a little too excited in the grocery store, I’m not kidding.
I knew this flavor was for me when I finished off a 16 ounce bottle in less than five minutes (okay… I’m exaggerating), but I ended up going back to the grocery store to purchase the 48 ounce bottle.
If you’re into kombucha, you have to try it! I would love to know your thoughts.
The Green’s youtube channel
I’ve been obsessed with this new youtube channel for a few weeks now. Newly wed couple Malachi and Courtney make videos on biblical relationships, lifestyle, and more.
I can’t tell you how much I learned from these two in such a short amount of time. I have pages of notes from their videos and I tune in every week to hear what they have to say.
Afternoon naps
I was never one to pause in the middle of my day just to take a nap, but I’ve recently worked more afternoon naps into my routine.
They are much needed considering that I wake up at 5 a.m. and work nonstop. I feel more productive and more energized after taking the time to rejuvenate in the middle of the day.
Bren Joy
Is it a monthly obsession roundup if I don’t share music? Bren Joy has been on my radar for quite a while now. I discovered him through one of his songs titled “Twenties” a few months ago. If I had to choose a favorite song by Bren Joy, it would have to be “Scottie Pippen”.
After taking the time to listen to all of his work recently, I came to the conclusion that Bren Joy can do no wrong.
That’s it for my monthly obsessions for August. Now we can finally say “hello” to September and welcome in all of the fall vibes!
