It goes without saying that books are a great way to gain new insight. Whatever problem or particular interest you have, there is likely a book on it that can provide you with answers and information.
Self-growth with an emphasis on connecting with your higher self and manifestation is one area of interest for many people, and there are a plethora of books that can help you gain valuable tools and perspectives that’ll spur you on your journey.
As someone who’s interested in manifesting and connecting with my higher self, I’ve come across hundreds of books on those topics. Although many of the books I’ve read have had some sort of impact, there are particular ones that stand out amongst them all, which is what I want to share with you today!
Here are 5 books that you should read to learn more about manifesting and connecting with your higher self:
The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra
Comprising 15 unique secrets, renowned author Deepak Chopra combines scientific insights with spiritual truths, guiding readers through practical ways to connect with their inner self.
I enjoy Chopra’s books because they take complex topics and make them simple and easy to understand, such as the intricate influence of the brain’s chemical impulses on the images produced in our mind and how it connects to manifesting. (They also provide steps on how to apply the imparted wisdom into your everyday life.)
If you like viewing spiritual principles through a scientific lens, then The Book of Secrets is made just for you.
The Celestine Vision by James Redfield
The Celestine Vision by James Redfield explores the magic that is synchronicity. According to Redfield, there is no such thing as coincidences, each and every event and experience are clues that point us forward.
I’ve revisited this book numerous times because it reinvigorates my imagination, encouraging me to find magic everywhere I look.
Redfield sprinkles in his personal experience with synchronistic encounters throughout the book, so if you’re looking for relatability while soaking in the principles of synchronicity, you will love this book!
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
If you’ve been in the self-improvement sphere for a while, you’ve likely heard of this book already. Deserving all of its hype, The Four Agreements is perfect if you’re looking for a quick and simple read that’ll enrich your life.
As the title suggests, author Don Miguel Ruiz provides four unique agreements rooted in Toltec wisdom, teachings from ancient rulers in central Mexico, that, once practiced, will transform your reality — from the inside-out.
Eastern Wisdom, Modern Life: Collected Talks: 1960-1969 by Alan Watts
I like Alan Watts for many reasons: he’s humorous, relatable, and holds captivating perspectives. Being one of many spiritual thought leaders to popularize Eastern teachings in the West, Watts has insights and philosophies worth diving into.
If you’re new to Watts, Eastern Wisdom, Modern Life: Collected Talks: 1960-1969 is the perfect way to dive into his teachings. This collection exposes you to various topics related to getting in touch with your true self and making eastern wisdom applicable to modern life.
Think like a Monk by Jay Shetty
If you’re looking for more of a how-to guide for connecting with your higher self and manifesting your dream life, then you should get your hands on a copy of Jay Shetty’s book Think Like a Monk.
What’s cool about Shetty and his book is that he was actually a monk for three years. Although there are many books out in the world written by nuns and monks, this one in particular takes ancient wisdom and makes it relatable to modern life.
When I first read this book, I enjoyed the journal prompts placed throughout each chapter because it helped me to actually make changes in my daily life.
